What is Daclatasvir?
How Does It Work?
Daclatasvir binds to domain I of the HCV NS5A protein, disrupting its role in viral RNA replication and assembly.
NS5A is essential for organising the membranous web where HCV replication occurs. Daclatasvir prevents the formation of functional replication complexes.
In addition to blocking replication, NS5A inhibitors including daclatasvir impair the assembly and secretion of new HCV particles.
